  11. DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
  12.        _l_p_c provides limited control over printer and class queues
  13.        provided    by CUPS. It can    also be    used to    query  the  state
  14.        of queues.

  16.        If  no  command is specified on the command-line, lpc will
  17.        display a prompt    and accept  commands  from  the     standard
  18.        input.

  20. CCOOMMMMAANNDDSS
  21.        The  _l_p_c     program accepts a subset of commands accepted by
  22.        the Berkeley _l_p_c    program    of the same name:

  24.        _e_x_i_t
  25.         Exits the command interpreter.
  26.  
  27.        help _[_c_o_m_m_a_n_d_]
  28.         Displays a short help message.
  29.  
  30.        quit
  31.         Exits the command interpreter.

  33.        status _[_q_u_e_u_e_]
  34.         Displays the status    of one or more printer    or  class
  35.         queues.
  36.  
  37.        ? _[_c_o_m_m_a_n_d_]
  38.         Display a short help message.

  40. LLIIMMIITTAATTIIOONNSS
  41.        Since  _l_p_c is geared towards the    Berkeley printing system,
  42.        it is impossible    to use _l_p_c to configure    printer    or  class
  43.        queues  provided     by  CUPS.  To configure printer or class
  44.        queues you must use  the     _l_p_a_d_m_i_n_(_8_)  command  or  another
  45.        CUPS-compatible client with that    functionality.

  48.        The  CUPS  version  of  _l_p_c  does not implement all of the
  49.        standard    Berkeley commands.
